Information.
What are your postage and packaging procedures?
I aim to pack and post all paid orders for the week on Friday and book a courier collection on the following Monday. For custom orders and wholesale I will contact you when it is ready for dispatch.
The postage calculations are difficult to get exactly right, so if I find that you have been significantly overcharged on the shipping for an order through this website, then I will refund the difference.
My standard shipping charges are:
UK: £5.00 Flat Rate per delivery.
Free UK shipping for orders of £45 or over. Enter code FREEUK45 at checkout.
Europe: £18.00 basic, plus £3.00 per item
USA and Canada: £35 basic, plus £5.00 per item
Rest of the World: £60 basic, plus £5.00 per item
UK ORDERS FOR DELIVERY INSIDE THE UK
For UK customers, I usually use either the UPS Standard (Signed For) service that normally takes 1 to 2 working days to deliver or Evri that takes 2 to 3 days.
EU ORDERS (November 2021 Update)
Shipping to Europe is available. Because the UK is now outside of the European Union, when your parcel arrives at your country’s border, additional customs, taxes and administration charges may be applied and these charges will be your responsibility. I usually use the Parcelforce Euro Economy service for EU deliveries.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
For International customers, I usually use either the Parcelforce Global Priority or UPS (Signed For) services that normally take two to five working days to deliver.
IMPORTANT: For International Orders for delivery outside of the UK all customs charges, local import taxes and duty fees are the responsibility of the customer. Please ensure you find out what these are before ordering. If the customer refuses to pay local taxes, charges, duties etc then the parcel will eventually be returned to me. I will then refund the order, deducting the original shipping fee and a processing charge of £20.
Please note that I cannot take responsibility for the postal services. At busy times, such as Christmas, orders can take longer. Please allow extra time if possible at busy periods or for special deadlines such as birthdays, because delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
An order will not be considered lost in the post until one month has passed.
COLLECTION IN PERSON
If you are local to Carshalton SM5 (South London) then you are very welcome to collect from my studio for free. Please email me after placing your order and I will email you afterwards to make arrangements and refund your shipping costs.
PACKAGING
A great deal of time, effort and love goes into the making of every single piece so I really do want to make sure you receive your ceramics in perfect condition! I take great care with packaging and your order will be wrapped as securely as possible.
How do I care for the pottery?
My pottery is created for everyday use in the home. After throwing on the wheel, each piece is biscuit fired, glazed and then high fired in an electric kiln to 1260 degrees. This means that they are food safe and dishwasher safe. Like all ceramics though, they are not shatter proof and will break if dropped onto a hard surface.
How is your pottery made?
All of my pottery is handmade, wheel thrown porcelain created by myself, in my own studio. Every piece is unique. Although I am a perfectionist, as with most handmade ceramics there may be minor imperfections or very slight variations from the photographs. Such imperfections are not considered to be flaws, they simply reflect the unique character of each piece and are a natural part of the pottery process.
